The Quality School Portfolio (QSP) is a
web-based decision support tool for schools and districts. Districts or
individual schools wishing to use QSP need to become members of the QSP User
Group. Membership entitles users to download
the software, access to all support materials (online training, user manual,
technical manual), technical support via the phone, and access to any
subsequent upgrades to the QSP software. For specific costs, please

Developed at the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and
Student Testing at UCLA (CRESST),
with funding from the U.S. Department of Education, web-based QSP is a powerful new tool to assist
educators in collecting, analyzing and making sense of data.
Web-based QSP makes data analysis available to schools and teachers nationwide,
assists schools and districts in meeting the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act, and increases effective data analyses that
support instruction.
QSP was first created as a desktop version, which is currently in use in all 50
states, in over 1000 schools in 80 districts. Web-based QSP offers additional
functionality and increased flexibility. Web-based QSP can be customized to
allow schools to add local variables on achievement and other data to meet
unique site needs.
The main sections of QSP are:
Groups
Disaggregate student, teacher and parent data into custom-designed łGroups˛ for
analysis and reporting.
Goals
Determine Goals and set Targets to monitor student progress towards meeting
standards.
Reports
Create understandable and actionable charts and graphs as a basis for decision-making
Gradebook
Track student performance at the classroom level.
Students
Input and organize student work samples and view a longitudinal history of each
student.
